On November 17, renowned Malayalam actor-writer B Harikumar passed away. The cremation will take place in Santhi Kavadam in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday, November 18, at 10 a.m. Hemant, B Harikumar’s son, and his wife Srirekha are still alive. Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, and a number of well-known Mollywood stars expressed their grief over B Harikumar’s passing.
B Harikumar, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, is the late legendary actor Adoor Bhasi’s nephew. The two books, “Chiriyude Thampuran” and “Adoor Bhasi Phalithangal,” were written by writer B Harikumar and focus on the actor Adoor Bhasi.
B Harikumar began his career as a bank officer and later wrote several popular novels. Some of his most famous works include ‘Pakal Vilakku’, Mareecham’, Thaavalam’, ‘Gandharvan Paara’, ‘Karutha Sooryan’, ‘Diana’, ‘Chakravarthini’, Kanmani’, ‘Aparajitha’, ‘Vaadamallika’, ‘Kaamini’, and ‘Apahaaram’. Harikumar also played several characters in Malayalam movies such as ‘Sargam’, ‘Kalamasseryile Kalyanayogam’, ‘Saagaram Saakshi’ and serials such as ‘Chamayam’ and ‘Marmaram’.
B Harikumar also wrote a number of screenplays and serial storylines for television. His most well-known creation was the TV series “Dr. Vezhambal,” which was adapted from the well-known Malayattoor novel. Additionally, he wrote the screenplay for the movie “Sanyasini.”
